5 DIY Dog Halloween Costumes;

1. Ghost Pup

What you need:

  • An old white sheet or pillowcase
  • Scissors
  • Fabric marker (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Drape the sheet over your dog gently.
  2. Mark and cut holes for the eyes and nose.
  3. Add spooky face details with a fabric marker (optional).
  4. Make sure the costume doesn’t restrict movement or vision.

2. Hot Dog

What you need:

  • Brown or tan fabric for the bun
  • Red and yellow felt for ketchup and mustard
  • Velcro straps or elastic bands

Instructions:

  1. Cut the brown fabric to resemble two “bun” pieces.
  2. Attach to either side of your dog using elastic or Velcro.
  3. Glue squiggles of red and yellow felt on top as condiments.

3. Super Pup

What you need:

  • Old t-shirt or baby onesie
  • Felt or construction paper for a logo (like an “S”)
  • Red fabric or napkin for a cape

Instructions:

  1. Cut and fit the t-shirt to your dog’s body.
  2. Attach the felt superhero logo to the shirt.
  3. Tie or Velcro the cape around the neck or shoulders.

4.Beanie Baby Tag

What you need:

  • Red and white cardstock
  • Hole punch and string
  • Marker or printed “TY” logo

Instructions:

  1. Cut the cardstock into a heart shape.
  2. Draw or glue the TY logo on it.
  3. Punch a hole and tie it to your dog’s collar.

5. Spider Dog

What you need:

  • Black pipe cleaners or pool noodles
  • Black dog harness or shirt
  • Hot glue or Velcro

Instructions:

  1. Attach 4 pipe cleaners to each side of the harness.
  2. Bend the legs outward to look like spider limbs.
  3. Optional: Add googly eyes to your dog’s headpiece.
